Iowa Caucus Time

The Windsor Heights Democrats will meet for our 2026 Caucus on Monday February 2nd starting at 7:00PM. You should start to arrive by 6:30PM Our site will be at The Clive Learning Academy on 73rd street here in Windsor Heights.

Why you should join us:

We strongly encourage every Democratic voter to attend. We also very gladly accept No Party and Republican voters who wish to change their registrations to Democrat that evening!

Why attend? Given what’s going on in America and Iowa these days, it is really important for we Democrats to know that we are not alone and, in fact, in most Polk County neighborhoods we are the majority.

It is also really important that you attend in order to help us build our party and our volunteer base as we move into the 2026 general election this fall. As you know, this is one of the most important non-presidential elections America has ever faced. And in Iowa, Democrats have a great opportunity to elect a Governor, U.S. Senator, and U.S. House members. Polk County Democratic voters represent over 20% of all the registered Democratic voters in our state. So, a robust Polk County Democratic turnout is absolutely essential to winning those important races, and in flipping a variety of Republican legislative seats we have targeted in our county. In other words, we need your help, and you can start by attending your local caucus!!

At the caucus you will elect up to two members and four alternates to the county central committee from your precinct. You will also elect delegates and alternates for the March 21 Polk County Democrats Convention, plus folks to serve on convention committees.
